The Wake Forest University Police Department (UPD) has received reports of two laptop thefts on the Reynolda Campus on April 6. The thefts occurred in Worrell Professional Center and Carswell Hall. Both laptops were left unattended – one for an hour and the other for only five minutes.

In February, a community safety advisory was shared regarding reports of at least three laptop thefts from Reynolda Campus.

It is essential to safeguard belongings and report any suspicious activity. Students, faculty and staff should secure laptops and never leave them or other valuables unattended in unlocked or common areas.

As a reminder, Wake Forest is an open campus. Many of our facilities are accessible to the public.

If you have any information that might be helpful related to laptop thefts on campus, contact University Police at (336) 758-5911. You can also use the LiveSafe Mobile App, which allows Wake Forest students, staff and faculty to have a two-way conversation with University police. If you wish to provide information anonymously, do so through “Silent Witness.”
