The following message was sent to undergraduate parents and families today

Dear Wake Forest Parents and Families,

We value your partnership in our efforts to ensure that all Wake Forest students have a robust academic experience this year and remain as safe and healthy as possible. Therefore, we want to share with you the following message that your student received earlier today.

We informed our students that an influenza (flu) vaccination will once again be required to attend Wake Forest this spring, with a deadline of Dec. 15, 2021, to provide vaccine documentation. We will be offering a free on-campus flu vaccine clinic on Oct. 25 and 26, or students can choose to procure a shot at the location of their choosing.

Please talk with your student and confirm they are making a plan to secure their flu shot. Students who fail to comply with this policy (and who have not been approved for an exemption or granted an extension of time for compliance) will not be permitted to attend in-person classes, reside in University housing, or participate in in-person activities until such time as they satisfactorily comply.

NOTE: Extensions may be granted by the University for students who are participating in study abroad programs during the Fall 2021 semester. We understand that students might need to wait until their return to the U.S. before they get their flu vaccine. Additional information for impacted students will be provided closer to the end of the semester.

Thank you for your partnership in keeping our campus healthy!
