The Office of Residence Life and Housing sent the following message to students who have been approved for winter break housing.

Good Morning –

We hope this message finds you excited to begin the winter break! Please be sure to review the reminders and resources below.

  • If you are relocating to Student Apartments for Winter Break Housing:
    • Your academic year housing access will turn off at 2 p.m. – please plan accordingly.
    • You will need to transition back to your academic year housing on Tuesday, January 3 –  please plan accordingly.

The Office of Residence Life and Housing will be open this week until 3 p.m. on Friday, December 23 at which point we will close until 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3. 

Below are a number of resources that will be available during the break and the University Holiday. Additional information and resources can be found at wfu.edu/hours.

  • RL&H Resident Adviser On Duty – 336-997-7337 – Available to assist with lockouts, connection to other resources, etc.
  • Facilities and Campus Services 
    • Please be aware, that during periods of reduced occupancy you may expect hot water to take longer to circulate to your building, decreased trash pick-up, etc.
    • Be sure to follow any instructions you’ve been given for your community specifically.
    • If you encounter a facility issue, please put a work order in by calling 336-758-4255. Facilities will have staff available to address immediate issues. Please expect a slight delay in response due to break operations.
  • Student Health Service – Our Student Health Clinic will be closed for Winter Break from Sunday, December 11 through Sunday, January 8. If you have a current or immediate medical concern during this time, you may contact Wake Forest’s on-call nurse line, which is staffed 24/7, including holidays, at 336.758.5218. Local options for off-campus urgent medical care are:

  • University Counseling Center – Mental health resources remain available. For urgent mental health needs, please CLICK HERE. For general needs, please visit counselingcenter.wfu.edu for instructions on connecting to available resources (note these may include TimelyCare).
  • University Police – As always, our University Police remain available to serve and protect the campus community. You can reach their non-emergency number at 336-758-5591 for assistance. If there is an emergency please call 336-758-5911.
