The Parent Programs office was asked to post this information to the Parents Page about how Wake Forest families can assist with jobs and internship opportunities for our students and graduates.

—————

Dear Wake Forest Parents and Families,

In just a few short months, many Wake Forest undergraduate and graduate students will be starting internships and full-time jobs.  While many of our students have secured excellent employment opportunities, we are committed and focused on supporting students who are still seeking opportunities.  Last year, 95% of the Class of 2012 graduates were employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation.

With your help, we can do even better this year!  We are writing to ask for your help in providing job and/or internship opportunities today.  If your organization is looking to hire young talent, or if you’re aware of others who are, please let us know by posting these opportunities on our job board or send them directly to recruit@wfu.edu.

In addition, employers can access our Wake Forest student resume books segmented by geographic and functional areas of student interest.  Last year, we sent about 200 resume books to organizations like Google, Intel, Peace Corps, Plato’s Closet, The Home Depot, The Weather Channel, Urban Teacher Center, and more.  If you’re interested in receiving a resume book, please make your selections here.

If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Lisa Simmons, Associate Director of Employer Experience at simmonll@wfu.edu or 336.758.4485.

We appreciate your continued partnership and support.

Sincerely,

Andy Chan & Mercy Eyadiel
