Attention, first year parents: registration is now available for “Just for Parents: Help with the College Transition,” a special orientation session just for parents. This will take place on Friday, August 26 at 7 p.m. in Benson University Center, room 401.

Sponsored by the University Counseling Center and Student Health Service, this presentation will focus on topics including: common issues experienced during the college years, child/parent relationship strategies, suggestions for maintaining emotional and physical health, and ways to access the numerous support systems available on campus.

Presenters Dr. Joanne Clinch and Dr. James Raper will provide both education and opportunities for interactive discussion in an informal atmosphere.  In addition there will be a panel of experts from the Division of Student Life available for additional questions from the audience.  Be sure to register soon, as spaces will fill up.
