The following message was sent to undergraduate students from the Dean of the College and the Dean of the School of Business

To all Undergraduate Students:

As our University has announced, academic operations are canceled for today, Sunday, December 9, and for tomorrow, Monday, December 10. This cancellation does not affect take-home essays or exams; please proceed on these assignments per your faculty member’s instructions.

If you are scheduled to take an in-person exam tomorrow, you should have already heard from your faculty member on whether the exam will be delivered electronically during the scheduled time, whether other options during the exam period will be offered, or whether the exam will be postponed until the first week of classes in January. If you have not heard from your faculty member, please e-mail them immediately to determine exam expectations.  Faculty members will work with students to accommodate the following extenuating circumstances: graduating in December, studying abroad in the Spring, needing extra time for an academic accommodation, or experiencing power/internet outages.

We hope that you are taking the necessary precautions to stay safe during this storm. Thank you for your patience and flexibility through these especially challenging circumstances.

Michele Gillespie, Dean of the College

Charles Iacovou, Dean of the School of Business
