Fall 21 Study Abroad (Affiliate Programs) – Confirming plans to move forward
The following message was sent to students who are planning to study abroad with Affiliate (i.e. non-WFU) programs for Fall ’21.
——————-
Dear Student,
Congratulations on your decision to study abroad for the Fall 21 semester. We are excited for you to spend the fall abroad! There are some final steps that need to be taken as we move forward in this process.
By Monday, June 28th at 9:00 am EDT, please complete this form to confirm your decision to study abroad for the fall semester. Upon submitting this form, you will be dropped from any Reynolda Campus courses for which you are registered for the fall semester.
Once you submit this form, you will be registered for ABO 100 (12 h) by the WFU Registrar’s Office. ABO 100 keeps you enrolled at Wake Forest while you are studying abroad. Once registered for ABO 100, your student account will be billed the Study Abroad Enrollment Fee (12% of WFU semester tuition). In the event that your July 1 WFU billing statement does not accurately reflect your plans to study abroad, do not worry as it will be corrected once all of our records are updated.
If your plans have changed, and you no longer wish to study abroad for the Fall 2021 semester, then please email studyabroad@wfu.edu as soon as possible. If, at a later point but prior to September 5th, some unexpected development were to cause your Affiliate program provider to cancel your program, then we would work with you for enrollment options on the Reynolda Campus for the fall semester.
Your study abroad advisor will be in touch in the coming week with additional information on next steps, completing WakeAbroad material, and more.
Please let me know if you have any questions. We look forward to continuing to work with you on the journey ahead!
Sincerely,
Jessica Francis
