Email Sent to All Second Year Students
The following message was emailed to sophomores from the Office of Academic Advising.
——————–
Dear Second-Year Students:
This email highlights some curricular and extra-curricular academic opportunities that might be relevant to you (including several attachments). Don’t miss out because you didn’t read …
1) Advising Information for Students Potentially Interested in Education or Music as a Major: The Education & Music departments recently asked us to share some info with potentially interested students. Education: See attachment: Department of Education – Course Offerings Music: Because music theory is a four-semester sequence (and all four courses must be taken in sequence), it is important that potential music majors get started in music theory early in their student careers.
2) SPA 309 for Heritage Spanish Speakers: See flyer: Heritage_Speaker_of_Spanish_SPA 309 (Spring 2016) & message below from Professor Alarcon.
(Professor Alarcon: alarcoi@wfu.edu)
3) Writer’s Camp! Be a published author! See http://zsr.wfu.edu/outreach/zsr-writers-camp/. Apply by Nov. 13!
4) Opportunity for Students Interested in Pre-Health or Pre-Allied-Health: Tuesday November 3rd at 6:30 – Dinner and Healthcare Professional Panel (Sponsored by Pre-Allied Health and Pre-Health Professions Programs). RSVP to hpcpanel.eventbrite.com for dinner by Monday November 2nd 1 pm.
5) Opportunity in Barcelona next summer: See flyer: Barcelona 2016!
Best regards,
Christy M. Buchanan, Ph.D.
