The following message was sent to the campus community on Friday afternoon.

The Winston-Salem Police Department has arrested a second man in connection with the Sept. 9 armed robbery of Wake Forest male students at a Long Drive house, near Wake Forest. The man was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was identified as Taylor Daryl Roberts.

According to Winston-Salem police, authorities continue their efforts to apprehend a third suspect sought in the robbery.

The University announced to students, faculty and staff on Sept. 9 that students were robbed at the off-campus Long Drive residence. The students told police that two armed men forced their way into their house and robbed them.

The University has taken several steps to respond to the incident, including directly offering assistance and resources to the affected students.
