On Sunday evening, Sept. 1, Wake Forest University Police responded to an incident at the Z. Smith Reynolds Library where a man, who is unaffiliated with the University, grabbed a student’s ankle under a table. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Forsyth County Detention Center.

The University Police Department encourages students, faculty and staff to promptly report suspicious activity they may observe on and off campus. The University Police Department can be reached immediately at 336-758-5911 (emergency) or 336-758-5591 (non-emergency) or through the Wake Safe Mobile App.

The WakeSafe Mobile App allows Wake Forest students, staff, and faculty to have a two-way conversation with University police. It provides direct access to police, 911 emergency services, emergency location sharing, information sharing with quick tips, and a peer-to-peer Safe Walk tool.
