When should your student begin his or her career exploration process? The Office of Career Services has created a series of bulletin boards explaining activities and outcomes students should focus on each year (Fall OCS Bulletin Board Wall).  This will give parents a reference point for what your student should be considering and doing each year.

There are also many online inventories for students.  These inventories identify interests and core talents and can help students narrow their career search process into the areas to which they are best suited. Students can also register for DeaconSource, which will alert them to internship and job opportunities.  The Office of Career Services has created bulletin boards to advertise these services to students as well (Fall OCS BulletinBoards).

These bulletin boards are located near the entrance to the Pit (on the Benson University side of Reynolda Hall). If your student hasn’t seen them, ask them to visit the Office of Career Services to learn more.
