All rooms identified as having evidence of bed bugs have been treated, either by conventional or heat treatments, including a few rooms in upper-class residence halls found during canine inspections earlier this week. Following our aggressive plan to eradicate these insects and speed up the treatment process, the University has employed a second company to assist with the highly specialized heat treatment process. This has significantly increased our capacity and efficiency in treating affected rooms.

As indicated in earlier updates, all spaces that have been conventionally treated will be followed by a round of heat treatment. The schedule for heat treatments began Tuesday and will continue until all affected spaces are treated successfully.
