The following email was sent to all new students from Christy Buchanan, Associate Dean for Academic Advising, regarding August 19 and 20 deadlines and preparation for Orientation.

Dear New Wake Forest Student,

The excitement is building on campus!  Less than one week from now all of you will have moved in!  As you finish your preparations and packing, please remember that there are a few August 19 deadlines to make sure you have completed (see p. 12 of Forestry 101 or newstudents.wfu.edu, Deadlines and Forms, for details).

One earlier deadline — the completion of My Student Body — has been extended to August 20.  If you have not done so already, please follow the instructions provided by Student Health Services below to complete this requirement as soon as possible.

As you begin to think about getting connected on campus, I want to let you know that in addition to the many activities and organizations on campus, there are multiple formal mentoring programs.  You might want to begin to mull over these opportunities to see if any are of interest: http://mentoring.opcd.wfu.edu/mentoring-programs/

Safe travels!

See you soon,

Christy M. Buchanan, Ph.D.
Associate Dean for Academic Advising
Professor of Psychology

Message From Student Health

MyStudent Body

Wake Forest University requires that all students complete the MyStudentBody program. MyStudentBody is an online course about alcohol and drugs designed to increase students’ knowledge, decrease harmful behaviors, and provide information to help students make good decisions. Incoming students must complete the My Essentials section of MyStudent Body by August 20.

To Get Started:

1. Create an account at www.mystudentbody.com

2. Use your WFU Google Mail as your username, create password, and enter “deacs” as the school code.

3. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter required security and demographic information.

4. From the My Stuff page, select the My Essentials Course by clicking Take Now under Status. Students need to complete only this section (My Essentials) of MyStudent Body.

5. Complete the questionnaire and pre-quiz for the selected module. Complete all module material. Complete the post-test.

6. You must pass the course (score of 70). You will have 25 attempts.

7. Once you have passed the course survey, view your certificate of completion.
