An Announcement from President Hatch
The following email was sent to parents of Wake Forest students on Friday afternoon, February 4 from President Nathan O. Hatch.
—————-
Dear parents:
This afternoon, the Wake Forest University Board of Trustees approved a 3.9 percent increase in undergraduate tuition for the 2011-2012 academic year. With this increase, tuition will be $41,100 and standard housing costs, which are being increased by 5.6 percent, will be $7,550.
Wake Forest has always emphasized and cherished its tradition as a place of opportunity. The Board’s decision to increase tuition was not made lightly and comes in the context of careful restraints on spending and a renewed effort to secure additional financial aid to offset the costs of maintaining our high standard of quality.
Wake Forest’s tuition and total cost figures remain near the median of top private universities even as we offer exciting levels of support in advising, an innovative new approach to career development and extraordinary opportunities for our students to engage our teacher-scholars in the classrooms, laboratories and offices of our campus. We believe that a Wake Forest education is a wise investment, and we are grateful for your commitment.
Sincerely,
Nathan O. Hatch
President
