Faculty and Staff Representatives:

Facilities and Campus Services rely on you to disseminate this information appropriately. Please forward accordingly.

Utility work will begin this week between Bostwick and Johnson Residence Halls, weather permitting. Construction fencing will be installed that will partially block pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk between Bostwick and Johnson heading from the Gulley Dr./Manchester Plaza area toward Collins Residence Hall. Pedestrians will have access to the sidewalks going directly to each building as well as the set of steps leading to Collins on the Johnson side of the courtyard. (see image)

The utility work is expected to continue through December. This project is the first step leading into the full renovation of Bostwick and Johnson Halls, which is scheduled to begin in January 2022. The current residents of Bostwick and Johnson will be relocated to the newly renovated Luter Hall prior to the start of renovations on Bostwick and Johnson.

Additionally there will be some tree removal in the project area in the landscape between Bostwick and Johnson Halls. Notices will be sent out regarding timing of tree removal at a later date.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

If you have any questions, please contact Sam Binkley x4899

Thank you,
