  • Graduate Appreciation Event at the Bookstore this Thursday
  • Graduating student videos of note
  • Understanding how to find verified Wake Forest information

Today I am packed to the gills with meetings (and happily, two of those meetings are with seniors defending their Honors in Communication project!) So this will be another short day for news.

Graduate Appreciation Event at the Bookstore this Thursday

My friends at the Bookstore asked me to share this:

“We will be hosting a Herff Jones representative on campus from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., available to assist students with class ring and diploma frame orders. Regalia will also be available for purchase. In addition, we will be offering giveaways, including regalia, diploma frames, and gifts with purchases of $50 or more. Students may also continue to shop online at wfustores.com.”

So ’26s, get thee to the Bookstore tomorrow!

Graduating student videos of note

’26s and P’26s, wanted to make sure you got to see the video of the Bell Tower tours. We also have a Senior Showcase video for Roksanna Keyvan (’26), which I hope you will enjoy!

Understanding how to find verified Wake Forest information

Not infrequently, I will get a message from a parent or family member referencing what they think is a Wake Forest run/moderated social media site, and are surprised to find that it is not ours at all. And since we have a growing number of new P’30 families in the Daily Deacdom, thought it might be helpful to review how and where to find verified WFU info.

For the most accurate, up-to-date information, we always encourage families to go straight to the source: Wake Forest websites such as wfu.edu, parents.wfu.edu, etc., as well as University social media sites. You can also follow our public Facebook page for parents—no membership required—at Facebook.com/WFUParents, which looks like this:

Many Wake Forest parents connect with one another through independently run social media groups. These communities can be a helpful way to share experiences and advice. And it is important to note that these groups are not affiliated with the University or monitored by our staff, so information shared in those groups may not reflect current university policies or practices, and/or represent Wake Forest University’s opinions.

If you have questions and are not sure where to go for help, you can always hit ‘reply’ on any Daily Deac; those come straight to my inbox. And if I don’t know the answer, I probably know who does 🙂
