Closing Out the Week
In this Issue:
- Campuswide Student Survey
- Save the Date: Spring Equinox Festival (March 22)
- Interest meeting on varsity athletics addition
I am out of the office today, so this is a pre-post
Today I am sharing a number of activities or upcoming events that we hope our students know about and take advantage of if they can. Here goes:
Campuswide Student Survey
This week, Wake Forest students received a brief Campuswide Immersion Survey as part of the University’s participation in the College Presidents for Civic Preparedness initiative. The 12-question survey takes less than three minutes and helps the university better understand how students engage with complex information and differing perspectives — both in and out of the classroom.
We know students are often asked to provide feedback through surveys, and we are grateful for the time they take to share their experiences. If your student mentions receiving the survey, we encourage you to remind them that their perspective matters and that their participation helps Wake Forest continue strengthening the student experience.
Save the Date: Spring Equinox Festival (March 22)
My friends from the Office of Sustainability wanted to be sure students know they are invite to this:
“Welcome spring into the Campus Garden with us during our annual Spring Equinox Festival on March 22! We will honor both the Spring Equinox and NC Arbor Day during this event with a tree planting, music, food, and activities and crafts led by campus and community groups. Bring a friend and join us!”
Interest meeting on varsity athletics addition
This ran in yesterday’s WFU Should Know student e-newsletter:
“Athletics and the Title IX Office will be hosting an interest meeting for students who believe there is significant interest in adding a varsity-level athletic team. The meeting will be on Monday, March 23, at 4 p.m. in the Bern Beatty Colloquium in Farrell Hall.”
Have a great weekend, Daily Deacdom!
