Move-In Guide, Face to Face and Family Weekend Football Tickets/ Tailgate Opportunities
Happy Friday, Deac families! Three main topics today: our Move-In Guide for Incoming Families, Family Weekend football tickets (and tailgate opportunities) and our Face to Face speaker series.
We have published a Move-In Guide for Incoming Families, which is available here. We are also sending this out by email to P’26s and transfer families; it should go out about the time the Daily Deac hits your inbox. There are three different potential move-in dates/processes in this guide, based on your student’s circumstances (skip ahead to the date that corresponds to your student’s move-in).
Family Weekend registration opened on August 3rd for event tickets. I want to remind everyone that there is a separate process to purchase football tickets. If you want football tickets, act quickly, as there are limited seats available and the game is likely to sell out. Visit the Athletics department to purchase. NOTE: students can get a free ticket to sit in the student section with their WFU ID. If your student wants to sit with you, you will need to purchase a ticket for your student.
I also wanted to share with you some information about tailgate opportunities that might appeal to those of you planning to come to football games this fall:

We hope you are aware that Wake Forest has a signature speaker series called Face to Face. The first event of the season is September 14th, and we will be hosting President George W. Bush and Jon Meacham in a keynote address at the LJVM Coliseum. Single Tickets for this event will go on sale to the public August 8th at facetoface.wfu.edu
A note to your students: we will have a free, student-only event at 4:30 pm in Wait Chapel with Jon Meacham on September 14th. For the evening keynote address event with President George W. Bush, students can claim a free ticket with their student ID at the LJVM Coliseum on the day of the event. Tickets will be given based on availability.
Face to Face will continue to sell season subscriptions once single tickets go on sale. A season subscription includes one ticket to each of the four events in the series. Price levels for subscriptions are based on seat location and can be purchased by visiting facetoface.wfu.edu.
