It’s April already – less than a month to go! The weather is shaping up beautifully – this week will be high 70s/low 80s and the lows will be in the mid to high 50s. We have a chance of rain towards the end of the week, but it looks like it will be a stunning week on campus. Enjoy every moment.

As we think to the end of the semester, one of the regular processes that takes place is students returning rental textbooks. The Bookstore has given us their rental textbook return instructions, so please be sure your Deac keeps those in mind. One important note is that the only place on campus to return textbooks in person is at the Bookstore in Taylor Hall. There are no drop boxes in residence halls or other parts of campus. If you are remote, you will return by mail.

Our ’24s got their weekly issue of Letters So Dear yesterday. Here is a snippet:

I’d like to congratulate you for getting this far– whether you have just arrived on campus for your first semester, submitted your final paper, or even if you just made it through today– congratulations. Often, we get too caught up in the midst of our busy, competitive lives that we forget to acknowledge just how far we have come, even if we have just begun whatever new adventure lies ahead. Moreover, one of the most important things I encourage you to do during your time at Wake is to remember to give yourself a pat on the back for your accomplishments, whether it be making your bed in the morning or making the Dean’s List.

Reminder that tomorrow is a Wellbeing Day for students (i.e., no classes). There are a bunch of opportunities for your Deacs to tend to their wellbeing; see the schedule.

We’ll close today with a few shots of campus and the surrounding area. The tulips are magnificent this time of year, and any day is a good day for Smores on Fireside on Manchester.
