As we referenced a few weeks ago in the Daily Deac, Wake students have had a strong relationship with Jeopardy! National College Championship. We recently received a message from a casting producer saying that they are hoping Wake Forest students will take their online test for consideration. They encourage students to take this test by December 16th. The test takes about 15 minutes. Obviously no guarantees any of our students will be chosen, yadda yadda, but as the saying goes, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Share this link with your Deacs if they would be interested.
Some of you may remember From the Ground Up, the industrial dance production that paired the work of our Facilities and Groundskeeping crews with the artistry of dance and movement. IdeasCityWS will host a “Beta Bonfire” panel discussion this Thursday at 5 pm to look back at the production through the lens of workforce development. This event is free and open to the public, and registration is available online. This might be an interesting discussion for parents and families to attend. Maybe there are even ideas this discussion will spark on whether a From the Ground Up type experience is something that could be applicable to your organization.
