For students here for Summer II, they are experiencing an unexpected break in the normal summer heat: today’s high is projected only to get to 75 degrees (which is amazing). It’s also raining much of the day (which is less so).
As we have said, summer is a slower news cycle for us, so only two items to share today, both having to do with logistics. Here goes.
Parking registration dates for students
Last Thursday and Friday, our Transportation and Parking Services office emailed students about their specific registration date time if they wish to bring a car to campus this academic year. Students are encouraged to look for their email for those specifics.
These are the dates for the various registrations:
- First-year student vehicle registration will begin Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. EST.
- Second-year student vehicle registration will begin Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. EST.
- Third and fourth year resident student vehicle registration will begin Monday, August 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. EST.
- Commuting student (e.g., off campus seniors) vehicle registration begins Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EST.
Again, students should see their email for their specific details, or visit the parking website and mark their calendars to log in at their appointed time.
Shipping/packing/moving via Storage Scholars
Storage Scholars is a preferred moving, storage, and shipping partner of Wake Forest. The company was built by Wake Forest students via our entrepreneurship program and has served Wake families – as well as families at other schools – for years. They asked me to share the following with Wake families:

Wake partners with Storage Scholars to give students a simple way to ship everything to their residence hall room ahead of time. Your boxes are delivered and waiting before you even before you arrive on campus.
