  • Early Weekly Message for P’29s about Fall Break

Fall Break technically begins on Saturday, but if I was a betting woman, I’d bet that some of our students have left/will be leaving early, particularly if they have not missed any classes yet. To all the Deacs who will be traveling – whether home or to a friend’s house – I wish you safe travels. (Even though they are not my kids, I still worry about them as if they were).

Here are a few things for this beautiful day: a video to inspire nostalgia, some reminders about Fall Break hours for those Deacs staying on campus, and some tips for P’29s about their Deacs’ first Fall Break – which may be useful to other families as well.

Mr. Rogers Wakeborhood

We are fortunate to have an incredibly talented group of people who work with video, photos, and social media. Their work is always impeccable – but my beloved colleagues just outdid themselves.

This one goes out to all the families who watched Mr. Rogers Neighborhood as kids, as I did. You’ll surely remember this tune – it’s just set to Wake visuals.

May it bring a smile to your face the way it did to mine :)

Fall Break hours of operation

With a good number of our students going home for Fall Break, there are typically changes to dining locations and hours of operation, as well as hours at the Wellbeing Center and more.

Any Deacs staying here in Winston for Fall Break should check the Fall Break hours of operation website well in advance and be sure they are aware of hours at their favorite locations, and make plans accordingly.

Early Weekly Message for P’29s about Fall Break

We’re deviating from our normal schedule and publishing our weekly message on Thursday of this week, so you have it in time for Fall Break, rather than Monday. This week we offer Fall Break thoughts, whether your Deac is coming home or staying on campus.
