In this Issue: My Thanksgiving wishes for your family
Thanksgiving is almost here and we are officially in the season of gratitude, festivities, and reflecting on the many blessings in our lives. So here are my early Thanksgiving wishes for you, parents and family members:
May all our Deacs who will travel (home, or somewhere else) for Thanksgiving have safe and easy trips.
May your Thanksgiving table be filled with good food.
May you be surrounded by all those you love the most. (And may we all put our cellphones away!)
May you have meaningful conversation and connection with each other. Consider asking everyone at your table to answer the same question to get the conversation started (could be something like “Gratitude is something that can be hard to focus on in our busy lives. Talk about a time when you felt especially grateful and how did you show that gratitude?“).
May you not want for anything. If your blessings are abundant, may you share them with those in need.
May you and yours have safety and security, health and happiness, laughter and love.
May traveling Deacs return to campus safely, rested and ready to crush their finals 🙂
And on a personal note, I am grateful to all our parents and families for being such wonderful extensions of the Wake Forest family. You are the best college families in the land!
NOTE: the Daily Deac will be dark Wednesday-Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. We’ll be back next Monday.
