Happy Pitsgiving to all! I was not able to get over to the Pit today to witness the festivities, but I hope to have some pictures of the event to share in the coming days.

Today is a busy meeting day for me, so just a few items to share.

Thanksgiving hours of operation website

Any students who are staying on campus for Thanksgiving should check out the Thanksgiving Hours of Operation website for information on shifts to operating hours for frequently-used campus resources.

Please be sure your student plans ahead for dining, transportation, and other needs, as regular hours will shift.

Exam Prep workshop

With the proximity to students leaving for Thanksgiving break and everyone’s attention shifting to the holiday, I wanted to plant the seed now for an event that will take place shortly after they return to campus:

“The CLASS office is offering an exam prep workshop soon after Thanksgiving break.  It will last one hour and students will leave with actionable strategies and a study plan for finals.  All students are invited to attend. The workshop will be held Tuesday, December 3rd at 6 p.m. in ZSR room 476.”

The sessions offered by CLASS always have useful information for students, so if this might be something your Deac could use, please share it with them.

Update to academic calendar

There has been an update to the academic calendar that students might want to make note of. This was shared in today’s WFU Should Know student e-newsletter:

“Update to undergraduate academic calendar: The last day to add a full-term course in Spring 2025 has been moved up to Wednesday, Jan. 22. The last day to add half term courses in Spring 2025 will be Wednesday, Jan. 15 (first half of term) and Thursday, March 6 (second half of term). These changes are reflected in the Academic Calendar.”

Happy Pitsgiving to all!
