P’28 weekly message and ’28 Letters So Dear
It’s the week of Fall Break, and whether students are headed out of town or are planning a staycation on campus, I think it’s a safe bet your Deacs are looking forward to a long weekend.
Cooler weather ahead
Your Deacs are in for a treat this week: really pleasant, cooler weather.
Fall in NC can be a funny thing. Depending on the high temperature and the amount of sun, even for days that start cool, you can end up too warm if you don’t plan your wardrobe properly, as shown in this meme I saw on one of my friend’s social media account yesterday. Layers are the key!
Emergency testing happening tomorrow (Oct. 15) and Thursday (Oct. 17)
Campus received a message about emergency testing that will take place tomorrow and Thursday. We want to make sure all students are aware of these tests just so they don’t panic when they get the test messages.
Upcoming arts performances
One of my colleagues who works with the arts shared the following upcoming dates that might be of interest to your Deacs (or you!)
Wake Forest does not have today off, but today is Indigenous Peoples Day. Back in 2019, this plaque near the Tribble Hall courtyard was dedicated to acknowledge and honor the people who lived on this land, and the land of the Old Campus in the town of Wake Forest.
P’28 weekly message and ’28 Letters So Dear
As is our custom each Monday, we bring you a weekly message for P’28s. This week’s message is about civic engagement and leadership. Our ’28 students also get Letters So Dear every Monday (here is today’s edition) and Life in The Forest from the Office of Residence Life and Housing.
