The weather

I entitled today’s Daily Deac “The Big Chill” because when I went out for a 9 a.m. meeting, I realize I had badly underdressed for the weather: though it was in the mid- to high-60s a few days ago, this morning it was a crisp 35 degrees.

While that is not a completely-out-of-the-question kind of temperature for February, we have had a very, very mild winter here in Winston-Salem, so this cold snap is a bit of a shock. Your Deacs maybe were caught by surprise too.

Here’s the outlook for the next several days. I am gunning for that 69 degrees later next week!

Women’s History Month starts tomorrow

Women’s History Month starts on Friday. The Women’s Center shared that they have “a calendar full of great events with awesome collaborations across campus….Check out the Women’s History Month page on our website for full program descriptions as well as information about additional recurring events happening in March!” Encourage your Deacs to take advantage of these opportunities.

No Daily Deac tomorrow

I will be out of the office tomorrow (Friday, Mar. 1), so no Daily Deac. We’ll be back on Monday! Have a great rest of your week!
