Happy Wednesday, Deac families! For those of you with high school students at home, the first two items in today’s Daily Deac are just for you. And for all families of current Wake Forest students, there are some summer employment opportunities related to the high school programs.
First up – Wake Pre-College Programs: Summer Immersion Program and College LAUNCH for Leadership Program:
Summer career exploration program for high school students on Wake Forest’s campus
The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program gives high school students the chance to try out potential careers, experience college life, make lifelong friends, and establish connections that will make a positive impact on their future.
With 19 week-long institutes to choose from, there’s something for everyone! Whatever the dream, Summer Immersion has a program that allows high school students to dive in and experience the “real world” this summer. The application is open now with students accepted on a rolling basis. Students should apply as soon as possible as some popular institutes have implemented waitlists. Students may fill out their application at immersion.summer.wfu.edu/apply/.

College preparation program: College LAUNCH for rising juniors in the Charlotte and Winston-Salem areas:
The Wake Forest College LAUNCH for Leadership Program is a free nine-month college prep, social justice, and leadership development program for high school juniors in Winston-Salem, Charlotte, and the surrounding communities. Scholars will learn what it takes to prepare for college, develop a critical understanding of ongoing social injustices within their communities, and grow as leaders.
The College LAUNCH application is open for the upcoming school year. Please encourage rising high school juniors (i.e., high school Class of 2026) to apply at collegelaunch.wfu.edu/apply/.
