Reminder about when students need to be out of University Housing and when housing reopens
Some of our parents and families have asked me when their students have to leave their residence halls, and when they are eligible to return for the spring semester. Here is the info you need:
Winter Break closing
All residential students (i.e., living in University housing) must depart for Winter Break by 2 p.m. on December 17, unless they are approved for Winter Break housing. Note that residential students received a reminder message today about this.

Saturday, January 13- Move-in/return for potential new members
Saturday, January 13
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Move-in for students moving on to campus for the first time this academic year
9 a.m. – Communities open for all students to return
Wednesday, January 17 – Classes Begin
Dining hours of operation
As we approach the Winter Break, dining hours in some of our venues may shift. Deacon Dining put out this schedule to let Deacs know what’s open when. Students can also go to dining.wfu.edu and check the ‘What’s Open Now’ section.
