Strengthening the next generation of Peruvian Amazonian Leaders
This is a really cool story I hope you’ll enjoy:
“Wake Forest hosted young Indigenous leaders from Peruvian Amazon as part of the Connecting Cultures program, co-sponsored by the U.S. State Department. During their visit, the Indigenous leader delegation spent several days on campus meeting with students, staff and faculty, sharing their stories, exchanging ideas and building networks of support. THANK YOU!
I want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our Deac families who chipped in on our Deacs Day of Giving on Tuesday. We exceeded our 3,500 donor goal, which meant we got a $1MM match, for a grand total of $2,730,695 raised from 4,080 Wake Foresters.
I checked with my Deacs Day of Giving sources, and I am told that we did get a good number of parent and family gifts in after 5 p.m. when the Daily Deac went out, and my colleagues saw movement in the career readiness, beautiful campus and student experience challenges.
You did that for us, Deac families. Thank you so much for helping us exceed our goal!
