Happy Monday, Deac families. I’m finishing my PTO so today will be some quick hits. More intentional Daily Deac content tomorrow 🙂

MSA in Accounting

I got a message while I was away that there are still opportunities to join the fall cohort for the Master’s in Accountancy (MSA):

“At Wake Forest, the Master’s in Accountancy (MSA) prepares students to confidently tackle the CPA exam. Our MSA graduates have earned the #1 CPA pass rate more than any other school in the past 20 years. Plus, with analytics coursework woven directly into the core curriculum, they’ll be ready for new additions to the exam (i.e. Business Analytics Reporting and Information Systems & Controls).

It’s a great investment for an impactful accounting career. We are a premier recruiting school for the Big Four and other leading firms, and 98% of MSA students receive scholarship support. All applicants are automatically evaluated for merit and need-based awards.

There’s still time to join our fall cohort!

  • Use the code LASTCALL to waive the $100 application fee and skip the essays.
  • Request a GRE/GMAT waiver on the Additional Information section of the application.*
  • Complete a 30-minute virtual interview after submission.
  • Receive an admission decision with 7 days of a completed application.

*Candidates who submit an application are not guaranteed a GMAT/GRE waiver. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications to receive a test waiver.

**Applications are no longer being accepted for international students outside of the US. International students who are currently in the US and only require a SEVIS transfer to extend their F-1 visa are encouraged to apply.”

Weekly Message to New Students

Today our new students got their regularly-scheduled Weekly Message about Virtual Reception, Registration, Interactions with Faculty & NDW App!

Year in Review from Hillel and Jewish Life

My wonderful colleague Gail Bretan, who is our Associate Chaplain for Jewish Life, sent me this link to a Year in Review from Hillel and Jewish Life. In it, you can see what 2022-23 looked like, and get a glimpse of events to come for 2023-24.

Hillel is a tremendous organization and Gail does incredible work with our Jewish community. If your student wants to get involved, I highly recommend it!
