We are a little over 2 weeks away until the start of Spring Break, which means it is almost midterms time. This means students might be getting increasingly tense, or terse with you, as they approach the work they must get done before they can play. Today’s weather is not conducive to wanting to work: it’s almost 73 and as my late mother would say “warm with gentle breezes.” It’s a great day to be outside, and tomorrow is a 99% chance of rain, so our Deacs need to take advantage of it while they can.

Now let’s get to today’s topics:

New and improved Quad Cam

For those who like to take a look at what is happening on campus, you may have noticed that we have a new and improved Quad Cam. The angle onto the Quad is a little different, and to me the picture looks much clearer than before. I always like to hope that some of you are having your Deac do a little pre-arranged rendezvous on the Quad so they can wave to you (and some of you have told me they have done this for birthdays and other things!)

Moonlight interactive film screening tonight

If your Deac gets their homework done early tonight, there is a showing of the Academy Award winning film Moonlight tonight at 6:30 in Pugh Auditorium. I’m told there are free snacks and a facilitated discussion afterwards. See more at The Link.

Are you following Wake’s official social media accounts? (if not, please consider)

I heard from some of you yesterday how much you liked our Valentine’s Day video with the Deacon. I have some incredibly talented colleagues who make videos and create content for our various social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. If you are not following our university accounts, please go ahead and add them to your normal repertoire of things you follow in your feeds.

In addition to the University-wide social accounts, we hope you will follow our official WFUParents Facebook page. I’ve been trying to provide more news and events on that page, plus some fun stuff too 🙂

Wake Forest University Police Release What’s U.P. at Wake podcast

The Wake Forest University Police Department is an essential part of the WFU community. On What’s U.P. If you made it all the way to the end of today’s blog, thanks for hanging with us!
