I hope everyone saw the good news on Sunday that Wake Forest Football has accepted an invitation to play in the 2022 Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl on Friday, December 23 in Tampa. Our partners in Athletics have shared this:

“The Deacs will take on Missouri from the SEC and we need you there to represent the Deacs at Raymond James Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The priority deadline to purchase tickets for the Gasparilla Bowl is coming quickly on Tuesday, December 6, so make sure to purchase now to get the best seats available! Visit Wake Forest Bowl Central for everything you need to know about bowl season. Updates will be made there regularly as more information becomes available. We can’t wait to see you in Tampa, and Go Deacs!

Final exams are taking place, and today it is cold and rainy, which is not improving students’ moods. One of the big things on students’ minds is finding a place to study. Undergraduate students looking for a place to study can use the Wake Study Space website to see reservable spaces as well as common areas in which they can study. In addition, the ZSR Library is on the Waitz app, which shows real-time data on how full the ZSR is. Your Deac can download the Waitz app and choose Wake Forest University –> select ZSR Library to see current occupancy. The Pit is also open 24 hours for studying; I believe there is limited snack service in the 9 pm-4 am window.

The Office of Residence Life and Housing sent a message to resident students with reminders about how to prepare their living spaces for winter break.

For our P’26s, your Deacs got their last issue of Letters So Dear for the semester, and we posted our last Weekly Message for First Year Families, on the topic of Having Your Deacs Home for an Extended Time.

Keep powering through finals, Deacs! You will be home soon 🙂
