Family Weekend is here! For all who are attending, may it be a wonderful weekend of visiting your Deac and their friends, and many happy memories made as a family.

The Family Weekend website has all the most important details, but you can also access the schedule via the Guidebook app (this is the same one we used for Orientation 2021 and 2022); you can find information on how to get Guidebook on the Family Weekend website. (See the update on game parking from athletics below.)

As you move through the various events of the weekend, look for staff with gold or black WFU nametags if you have questions or need assistance.

And while you might have intended to do X or Y on the Family Weekend schedule, your Deac may have other plans, and that’s OK. “Go with the flow” is a good mental attitude to have 🙂

We do have students whose families might not have been able to attend this weekend. If you have room in your party for someone whose folks can’t be here, please consider inviting them to join in your plans. That sort of kindness can have a huge impact on a student who might be missing their own family keenly this weekend.

So enjoy your time with us, have fun seeing your Deac in their element and meeting their friends. Cheer hard for the Deacs at the football game, and try to discover some new favorite places in Winston-Salem, too.

My friends in Campus Recreation wanted me to share with families that Club Sports has a strong home weekend schedule this weekend. Yu can view their calendar here if you want to add any of their games to your Family Weekend schedule.

I am still on limited duty following my surgery, and I regret that I can’t be on campus this weekend to visit with all of our Daily Deac-ers. Please know I wish you all the very happiest Family Weekend possible!

PARKING UPDATE FROM ATHLETICS:

(1) 2400 Reynolda Road: This lot will be FREE for Wake Forest’s game against Army. Lots open five hours before kickoff, and a free shuttle will also be available to and from the lot. The shuttle will drop off in the Joel Coliseum lots.
(2) 3730 University Parkway: It is $15 dollars to park in this lot if purchased in advance and $20 if purchased online. Fans can purchase online here or by calling the Wake Forest Ticket Office at 336-758-3322. There will also be a complimentary shuttle from this lot that will drop off in the Joel Coliseum lots.

Note that the Joel Coliseum lots are not considered “accessible” because golf carts will not cross Deacon Boulevard to provide drop-offs at Truist Field. Also, if fans have previously parked in the Midway lots on gameday, these will not be available for Family Weekend because of the fair. All information for gamedays is updated weekly on godeacs.com/gameday
