Happy New Year! Wake Forest’s new fiscal and academic year begins on July 1st, so we are officially in the 2022-2023 year now. And one of the very important tasks each year is for families to take care of the Student Health Insurance requirement.

EVERY year (not just when your student first starts at Wake), you must either enroll in our Student Health Insurance program, or waive coverage:

“Wake Forest requires health insurance for all full-time enrolled students. Students must elect to either enroll in the insurance program or request to waive enrollment if they carry comparable personal health insurance meeting the criteria set by WFU (detailed below).

The enrollment or waiver election may be made starting July 1 until August 31 by visiting studentbluenc.com/wfu.”

While the Student Health Insurance requirement is not due until August, I always like to tell families to begin the process early. If you get busy later in the summer and don’t take action to either enroll or waive by the deadline, you will be charged for the student program (even if you have coverage). So it is to your advantage to take care of this as soon as you can.

Again, this is not just a process for incoming P’26 families. This is something every family must do each year their Deac is enrolled.

Because Monday is a holiday, there will be no Daily Deac. See you again next Tuesday. Have a great long weekend, Daily Deacdom!!
