Today we are going to talk about a student entrepreneurial venture that may be of interest: Storage Scholars, who works with shipping items to school (or storing them over the summer once the school year ends).

The following message was sent to me by our Mail Services office and Storage Scholars:

“If you want to ship your belongings to school and have them delivered to your room before arrival this year, Wake Forest University is pleased to introduce our storage, moving and shipping partners, Storage Scholars.

Wake Forest University Mail Services ask that you refrain from shipping mail or other items to your student no earlier than two weeks prior to his/her arrival on campus. If you wish to ship belongings to campus prior to two weeks from the student arriving on campus, you may do so through Storage Scholars!

Storage Scholars is a separate entity from Wake Forest University Mail Services. All questions, inquiries, comments, etc. should be directed to Storage Scholars at 336-815-0100 or email at  Info@storagescholars.com

Here’s how their Ship to School service works:

  1.  Sign-up online at storagescholars.com and select your preferred Ship to School package.
  2. Storage Scholars ships you empty boxes and return shipping labels to pack up your belongings and ship them back to their storage facility for the summer.
  3. You can also shop online at your favorite retailers and send those packages to their facility to add to your delivery order.
  4. Storage Scholars receives, sorts and stores your belongings until school starts in their secure storage facility.
  5. By the time you arrive to school, Storage Scholars will have already delivered your belongings to your room, so they’re ready and waiting for you!

Feel free to learn more about their services by checking out their website here!

Students got a similar message about Storage Scholars. While each family will need to make their own decision about whether or not to use this student entrepreneurship service, we want you to be aware of the option.

And a reminder about student mailboxes for shipping: for returning students (i.e., ’23-’25s), they already have their PO Box number. For incoming ’26s, Box numbers will be assigned around August 1 (and they will need to look themselves up in WIN > Directories > Internal Directory to find their PO Box number once assigned).

Finally, there was a message sent to the campus community today from Dr. Wente and Provost Gillespie announcing that after three years of dedicated service to Wake Forest, Jane Aiken has decided to step away from her role as Dean of the School of Law.
