There are two Happiest Days on Campus every year. One is move-in for new students and families, and the other is Commencement. Those two days represent the hopeful start of our Deacs’ college education, and then the final victory and culmination of their journey. It is a time for students, their families and loved ones, and the faculty and staff to be justifiably proud of all our graduates have achieved. And yesterday was no different 🙂

Commencement happened on the Quad, without any of the rain that the forecast had been threatening in the days leading up to the ceremony (admittedly, I had fretted that we might have had to go to the rain plan). But the sun came up on Monday – and stayed up – and it was a joyful, emotional, beautiful day.

Whether you are a P’22 who wants to revisit the high points of the weekend, or a family in any other year trying to get a glimpse of what to expect when it is your family’s turn to celebrate, we have a number of Commencement wrap-up options for you:

We salute the incredible, resilient Class of 2022! And for all our P’22s in the Daily Deacdom, know you are welcome to continue to follow the blog as long as it serves you/you enjoy it, and drop off at any point if it no longer does (there is an unsubscribe link in the footer).

And for our P’23s-P’26s, we look forward to sharing the next few years together as your Deacs make their way to that Commencement stage!

One final note for our P’26s: our weekly update went out today. As a reminder, check your spam/junk/quarantine in case it landed there, and some ISPs deliver the message many hours after we initially sent it. The full archive is here.
