Today is Arnold Palmer Day, which is a Traditions Council production. Between 11 am-1 pm, they were slated to have cake, Arnold Palmer drinks, and t-shirts (it was raining pretty steadily around 11:30 and beyond, so not sure if it was moved indoors or under one of the tents). I hope your Deacs were able to participate; free cake and Arnold Palmers are always a good thing!
In more serious news, an email went to campus around midday about laptop thefts: “The Wake Forest University Police Department (UPD) has received reports of two laptop thefts on the Reynolda Campus on April 6. The thefts occurred in Worrell Professional Center and Carswell Hall. Both laptops were left unattended – one for an hour and the other for only five minutes.” You can read the full message here.
The Office of Residence Life and Housing sent this message to resident students about preparing to move out of the residence halls and check out of individual rooms. Resident students should read that carefully.Campus Dining has released the schedule for dining operations April 14-17 (note: there are no classes on April 15th).
I will be out of the office tomorrow through next week, but have scheduled Daily Deacs to run in my absence, and my good colleagues from the Office of Family Engagement will be manning the parents@wfu.edu email account during that time. Have a great weekend and a great next week!
