Happy Mardi Gras!
Happy Mardi Gras, Daily Deacdom! Laissez les bon temps rouler! Lots of ground to cover today, so I’ll get right to it.
The update about the revised mask requirements for campus was sent today to the campus community; we also sent it to parents and families. You can read the full message here. A couple of key points:
Starting March 5, Wake Forest will revise the campus mask requirements. Masks will continue to be required in classrooms, healthcare facilities and on University transportation. Unless posted otherwise, use of masks will be optional in other indoor campus spaces.
Beginning March 19, masks will continue to be required in healthcare facilities, on University transportation and under the circumstances outlined below. Masks will be optional in all other campus spaces, including classrooms. [Read the full message.]
In other campus news, the Women’s Center invites campus to celebrate Women’s History Month 2022. The theme this year is “Legacy,” which seeks to highlight how women and femmes have often served as leaders, trailblazers, and liberators. For a full list of programs and details, visit the Women’s History Month 2022 website.
CLASS (Center for Learning, Access, and Student Success) is offering a presentation on “When Tests are not Optional: Strategies for Battling Test Anxiety.” This will be held on Thursday, March 17th at 4 pm in Reynolda Hall room 301. If this is something that would be helpful to your Deac, please share (flyer below).

For our P’25s and transfer families, this week’s issue of Letters So Dear went out on Monday. I particularly like this week’s message from an upperclass student, as it focuses on boundaries. That advice is good for everyone, not just new students.
While many of our students already have their own exercise regimen, not everyone does – and sometimes the boost you need to get started is to have the support of a group. Move More! Move Often! is a 6-week program engaging and encouraging individuals to increase their movement. Participants monitor activity using their own activity tracker, phone, or manually logging that time in the app, no device required. Throughout the 6-week challenge (3/21-4/29), participants can access incentives, receive supplemental resources and materials, and join the campus community for opportunities to get more active. Students (as well as faculty and staff who may be reading this) can learn more and register at go.wfu.edu/mmmo.
I know that many of our Deacs are going to be departing for Spring Break as we near the end of the week, but just want to say the next couple days are predicted to have spectacular weather. Next Monday’s high is even supposed to be 81 degrees, for those staying with us for the break.
