It’s Day 2 of finals. I was on campus for a bit yesterday and the Finals Uniform was on full display: yoga pants, sweats, big comfy sweatshirts. This seems to be the trend every year – and I get it: you want to be comfortable when you are studying or taking tests.
The ZSR Library is always a hub of activity during finals week, and this year is no different. In addition to Wake the Library, which brings free food and stress-relieving activities, one of the hallmarks of finals week in ZSR is the Library Decorating Committee. This secret group of talented folks brings a theme to the ZSR atrium with decorations. This semester’s theme is Harry Potter, as you will see in the pics below (thanks to my ZSR source who sent these pics!)
Finals can be stressful, so I always like to add a bit of humor where I can. Here are a couple of end-of-semester funnies for your enjoyment.
We also have two news items to share. A messagewent to campus this morning alerting students, faculty, and staff to the passing of Sam Gladding, Professor of Counseling. Sam was an alumnus of Wake Forest (and a WF parent too). He was a giant in the counseling world and much-beloved on campus. We grieve his loss and extend our sympathies to his family and many friends and former students.
Finally, resident students received a reminder yesterday of how they will need to prep their rooms for Winter Break.
Eyes on the prize: your Deacs will be coming home soon! Study hard, Deacs!
