I am out of the office today, so today’s blog borrows heavily from the student WFU Should Know e-newsletter that goes out each Thursday afternoon.
COVID-19 booster doses will be offered on campusNovember 30, December 1, and December 2nd for students; sign up here. Most students, because of our highly residential campus, are eligiblefor a booster dose as long as the length of time from your last dose meets the CDC criteria. Hear from Dr. Chris Ohl, an infectious disease expert at the Wake Forest School of Medicine, about why students should get a booster shot.
If your Deac is staying on campus during Thanksgiving Break, visit the Campus Life website for information about campus resources and operation hours.
Campus Programs and Services’ preferred vendor for airport shuttles is Black Tie Transportation. To book a shuttle, please call them directly at 336-768-5177. More information.
Finally, I got word that one of our most fun fall traditions is coming back: Late Night Breakfast. This will be held December 1st in the Pit at night so that they can be served warm and comforting breakfast foods to fuel their finals studying. The night is filled with music, games, and your students will be greeted and served by faculty and staff. Your Deacs will start to see more info soon, but here is a flyer below to whet your whistle.
Make it a great day, Deacs. It’s Friday – and some students may be planning to attempt Senior Fifth– so be sure to talk to your Deacs and remind them to be safe and responsible in whatever they are doing this weekend.
