Fast Friday

I am out of the office today, so sharing just a few quick hits.

My colleagues put together this great photostory chronicling President Wente’s first day in office. The Winston-Salem Journal also covered her arrival. Hope you enjoy these.

Our hometown hero and much beloved alumnus, basketball star Chris Paul, was featured in this story in the Winston-Salem Journal. Even as a college superstar, he was one of the nicest and most polite students I have ever met. Terrific guy.

In case you missed it, Forbes ran an article about Winston-Salem having a ‘neighborhood to watch’ – in terms of art, culture, food, business, etc. Check it out and file away some of these places for your next visit to campus.

Last but not least, we made the switch to our new blog push provider yesterday, and are working out some residual kinks. For some reason, the blog emailed me not just yesterday’s post, but the ones from the previous two days, and I got a bonus issue emailed to me at 3 am. Thank you for your patience as we get the tech pieces aligned as they should be.
