It’s the end of the week, so I am bringing you a handful of goodies that have hit my inbox of late.

Our friends from the ROTC shared a video featuring cadet Henry Lynn (’22) that talks about hand grenade training that the battalion is going through, as well as Henry’s hopes for his ultimate placement in the Army.

There was also a story about our young alumna and Information Systems Fellow, Isabella Ryan (’20), who began a campaign while she was still in high school to limit the use of solitary confinement for children in Tennessee. That work has led to a bill, which is now headed to the Governor to be signed into law.

The Business School tells me that they are in the last seven days of accepting applications to their MS in Business Analytics and MS in Management programs, which begin in early July. The application deadline for both programs is June 15. Applicants may use the code SUMMER21 to fast-track the process and waive the $100 application fee and essay questions. GRE/GMAT waivers are also available to students with a qualified GPA. And in case you are wondering about how graduates land following the program, the B-school reports that their 2021 graduates are now beginning careers at Amazon, Facebook, Unilever, Deloitte, EY, SAS, BofA, and even the Minnesota Twins.

For our Deacs in Summer Session I, we’re halfway through the session. Keep the momentum going and finish strong! And for our P’25s, your Deacs got an email about Project Wake registration going live; read it here.

And last but not least, for our P’21s still in the Daily Deacdom, I am told that your ’21 graduates have begun to receive their diplomas. Please note that the commemorative programs are at the printer now and will be mailed separately. Students can expect to receive them sometime in the next several weeks.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
