Because I’m working a short week, will try to be brief today.

A community safety advisory email went out yesterday: it details an incident on Polo Road between Long and Palm Drive several evenings ago, and also offers tips on how to stay safe; read the full message.

Want to pass along some information from my friends in the Student Health Service. When students upload their COVID vaccine in the SHS portal, please be sure the date they got the shot(s) is visible on the card. Students are asked to please fill in the date of their shot if it’s missing. It is important to know the date they received the shot(s).

Also, if your Deac has not yet gotten the vaccine but wants one, there is a community vaccine clinic on April 10th at the Fairgrounds. Students can register here and see the shuttle schedule to get to and from the location. This is a Johnson & Johnson vaccine and might be very attractive for your Deacs since it is a ‘one and done’ shot.

Some of our P’25s (incoming families in the Class of 2025) have asked about when they will start getting information about Orientation, move-in, etc. Our New Students website is currently being redesigned with info for our new incoming Class of 2025. I am told that it should go live on May 3rd. Thanks for your patience in the interim.

Happy to report that DESK – one of our key service projects – will take place this year! You can see details in this Office of Civic and Community Engagement Instagram post. If your Deacs are looking for a fun and fulfilling activity, this is a great one. (Obviously this is a picture from past DESK events – which is why you see no masks!)
