Gimme a Y      [Y!]

Hello Yellow graphicGimme an E     [E!]

Gimme an L     [L!]

Gimme an L     [L!]

Gimme an O     [O!]

Gimme a W     [W]

What’s that spell?   [YELLOW!]

AND WE ARE BACK IN YELLOW! Families and students alike got a message today about our blessed return to Yellow Operating status. As always, you should read the whole thing, but I want to bring special attention to the BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) in the family message:

– Students who want their families to visit campus can request a Family Campus Access gate pass (WFU login required). Students will complete a Google Form and then will receive an email that they must forward to their family, who can either print and display it on their dashboard or show it on their phone at the gatehouse.

– Masks are required, and social distancing of 6 feet must be maintained with anyone not currently living in your residence.

– Families are not permitted in any buildings on campus, including residence halls.

– Families should not come to campus if they have flu-like symptoms, have been directly exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, and/or if have tested positive for COVID-19.

Students got their Your Corona Chronicle last night; read it here. One fun thing it mentions is Pi Day (3.14) is Sunday and how do you celebrate Pi Day? WITH PIES! Pi Day will be from 2:30-3:30 on Manchester Plaza (aka Mag Quad). Any time students can get free food, they should! It looks like a great weather day, so tell them to grab some pie while it lasts.Pi Day 2021

There are other activities too, and the YCC mentions those via the Corq app. Since it’s Friday, and Fridays are an ideal time to call your Deacs, this might be a great conversation starter.

Enjoy your weekend, Deac families. Stay safe and be well! Here’s a couple of pics that I hope evoke a sense of spring.
