Because I am at a University event, today is a pre-post. As a reminder, my colleagues will look for any campuswide emails sent during my absence and would share those in the Daily Deac.

This fall, Wake Forest University will host a signature speaker forum called “Face to Face.” This community-facing series will bring world-renowned, influential voices to Winston-Salem to discuss topics in a variety of areas including politics, arts and culture, business and social justice.

The inaugural Face to Face season will include:

  • Former Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright (1997-2001) and Colin Powell (2001-2005) on September 1, 2020;
  • Cellist, cultural ambassador and U.N. Messenger of Peace Yo Yo Ma on October 14, 2020; and
  • Journalist and author of “Blink and “Outliers” Malcolm Gladwell on January 26, 2021

All events will be held in the Lawrence Joel Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum.

Season subscriptions may be purchased online through the Face to Face website. Single ticket sales will be available closer to each event.

EDITED TO ADD: late news reported here re: a timely warning notification.
