I don’t know if it was as bad where you are, but it was ridiculously hot in Winston-Salem last week through this weekend. Thankfully today is noticeably better. Wherever you are, I hope all those in the Daily Deacdom are staying cool.

Speaking of cool, there is a cool opportunity on the horizon. We are having a summer reception for alumni, parents, and friends who might find themselves in the Southampton, NY area on August 10th. This event is open to all, and will feature remarks from Charles Iacovou, Dean of the School of Business. This is a wonderful way for Wake Foresters to build their WFU network and meet each other in a splendid setting.

Unlike a New Student Reception (which is focused on incoming students and their parents/families), this summer reception is open to anyone with a WFU connection. It’s a bonus that Dean Iacovou is making the trip, so this might have special interest to Deacs/Deac families who are involved in business.

If you wish to attend, please register here.

Without knowing who might be on vacation in the area, and knowing we have a lot of Northeast Deac families, I wanted to be sure you all knew about this.

Go Deacs!
