A new tailgate option

Heard this great news from a colleague of mine and wanted to share.

“WFU has been awarded an NCAA CHOICES Grant to reduce alcohol misuse on campus. One of the projects funded is a sober tailgate program which will provide food, non-alcoholic drinks, activities, and swag prizes in a tailgate setting at each of the home football games for the next 3 seasons. These sober tailgates will be open to anyone who is not intoxicated.┬áThe tailgate is located just adjacent to the student tailgate area and the indoor tennis center and students can ride the free shuttle that picks up at lot P on campus.”
This is a wonderful option for students. Sometimes I think students underestimate the number of their peers who do not drink – and so I encourage our Deacs to show up in force for this. Two words: free food!
