Heard this great news from a colleague of mine and wanted to share.

“WFU has been awarded an NCAA CHOICES Grant to reduce alcohol misuse on campus. One of the projects funded is a sober tailgate program which will provide food, non-alcoholic drinks, activities, and swag prizes in a tailgate setting at each of the home football games for the next 3 seasons. These sober tailgates will be open to anyone who is not intoxicated. The tailgate is located just adjacent to the student tailgate area and the indoor tennis center and students can ride the free shuttle that picks up at lot P on campus.”
This is a wonderful option for students. Sometimes I think students underestimate the number of their peers who do not drink – and so I encourage our Deacs to show up in force for this. Two words: free food!
