Magnolias

During a break in the rain yesterday afternoon, I made a trek over to the North Campus Apartments for a meeting. The magnolia trees outside the building are in full bloom, and they are spectacular.

I wish there was such a thing as Smellovision (like television) because then I would be able to share with you the heady, amazing aroma that is a magnolia in bloom. You’ll have to trust me that the scent is intoxicating, lush, and wholly Southern.
