I received the email below this morning and would encourage all our local Deac families to consider coming out to send off our team tonight as they head to the Super Regional.  For those who may not have been following, Wake has been in the NCAA baseball tournament, and we hosted a number of games last weekend that I believe had record attendance – and of course we won!

For real, Wake Baseball has been all the buzz around town of late, with lots of local fans talking about the games, going, and cheering their heads off.  And now they are headed to the Super Regional – the last 8 teams if memory serves – which is a Big Deal.

So if you are in town, come out and send our team off with lots of love. And if you are not local, be sure to stay tuned to ESPN and play hard with the guys.

The Wake Forest baseball team has advanced to the NCAA Super Regional in Gainesville, Florida after winning the Winston-Salem Regional this past weekend. Please join us outside of the new Baseball Player Development Center at David F. Couch Ballpark this evening, Thursday, June 8th, at 6:35 p.m. to wish the team well as we send them off to Florida!

(The team will be departing from the McCreary Tower parking lot. Fans joining us for the send-off are encouraged to park in the Couch Ballpark parking lot and walk down the stairs to the Player Development Center located next to BB&T Field. Limited parking may also be available in the McCreary Tower parking lot.)

The Demon Deacons will take on the Florida Gators in a best of three series this weekend:

  • Saturday, June 10th at 3:00pm on ESPN
  • Sunday, June 11th at 3:00pm on ESPN/ESPN2
  • Monday, June 12th (if needed; time TBD)

Be sure to keep an eye on and @WakeBaseball on Twitter for updates.
