I received this from ARAMARK/Campus Dining last week while your students were on Spring Break:

We are excited to announce a new arrival!
March 13th is the roll out of our new vegan station in the Pit! Recipes at this station will be carefully selected and produced to stay in line with our commitment to performance and sustainable dining on campus.  This station is not only for vegans, we encourage all students to take a plant forward approach when building your performance plate.  Variety is the spice of life, which is why dishes will include anti-inflammatory spices and other ingredients to fuel your brain and body.  When visiting this station aim to make half of your plate fruits and vegetables, a quarter of the plate plant based protein and a quarter whole grains! #PerformancePlate”

ARAMARK is also running a promotion for those Deacs who need to add meals to their plan.  Details below:

Finally, students will be dancing up a storm this weekend in an effort to beat cancer during Wake ‘N Shake.  Wake ‘N Shake is taking place Saturday, March 18 from noon to midnight in the Sutton Center.  This is an entirely student-led event and has raised over $1,200,000 for the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund, which directly supports the world class research at the WFU Comprehensive Cancer Center.  This year’s goal is to raise $300,000 and have more than 1,400 undergraduates participate.

Now, part of my job is to encourage all parents and families to support the Parents’ Campaign of the Wake Forest Fund.  We have not yet reached our goal, and we need everyone’s participation to get there – so please remember us as you think about your charitable giving.  And for those who want to also support Wake ‘N Shake, you can make a gift online to the Parents’ Campaign and also support Wake ‘N Shake.
